FAQ - Espresso machine is not heating

The LED light on your machine is flashing or the display is off and the machine is not heating even though it is switched on? We explain why this may be the case and what the solution is.

The most likely reason is that the machine is in ECO mode. In the case of the Profitec Drive, this means that the boiler heating is switched off after a preset period of inactivity. To reactivate the machine, simply open the brewing lever briefly or press any button. Now wait briefly until your espresso machine has reached the desired temperature again before making your espresso.

Did you know? If you don't want your machine to switch to ECO mode, you can deactivate it completely. With some machines, such as the Drive, the activation time of ECO mode can also be set using the built-in control unit. You will find detailed instructions on how to do this in the operating instructions.
